Train operating company Renfe has started work to improve access at Benalmádena-Arroyo de la Miel station.
The work will adapt the height of platform two, direction Malaga, so that wheelchairs can easily board the latest generation of Civia trains currently in use. Platform one, towards Fuengirola, is already adapted.
A new floor surface will also be laid and LED lighting installed throughout the station.
Apart from small adjustments in the early morning and late evening, no changes are planned to timetables during the works, which should be finished by the end of the year.source surinenglish
