Keko completes Malaga move

It’s second time lucky for Malaga who have finally completed the signing of Sergio Gontán Gallardo, more commonly known as Keko.
The winger first came on to the Blue and Whites’ radar when sporting director Francesc Arnau took up his post at the end of 2015 but competition from Andalusian rivals Sevilla halted the move.
Sevilla, now under the management of Jorge Sampaoli, have instead opted to sign Frenchman Hatem Ben Arfa, leaving Malaga as the most attractive option to the Madrid-born wide man who has enjoyed a fantastic domestic campaign this year.
The 24-year-old joins from Eibar for five million euros and signed a four-year contract on Wednesday.
Natural wingers
Despite predecessor Javi Gracia using Juanpi and Pablo in wide areas, Juande Ramos is keen to reinforce his options with personnel accustomed to playing there.
Ramos already has Chory Castro at his disposal, as well as the incoming Jony from Sporting Gijón to play on the left side, while Keko is the only natural right-sider.
Villarreal’s Samuel was very strongly linked back in January but injuries have seemingly ruined all chance of a return to La Rosaleda.
While Adnane Tighadouini will return from loan and utility man Juankar’s loan could still be made permanent, another winger will soon be expected to follow Keko through the door.source surinenglish
