The implementation of video surveillance as a weapon against crime and street prostitution in Marbella moved a step closer on Tuesday when the town’s Local Security Board approved the measures at their final meeting of the year.
The meeting was attended by Miguel Briones, central government delegate for Malaga, heads of security forces in the town and José Bernal, mayor of Marbella, who announced the formation of a commission that will determine where these cameras are placed based on numbers of crimes and police response times. Once concluded, the findings will be returned to the government sub-delegation which will allocate the funding.source surinenglish
