Fuengirola and Benalmádena councils have started making plans to join the two municipalities with a beach-level walkway. Two separate projects will be carried out totalling 400,000 euros once the Junta approves the designs. At the border of the two towns a pedestrian bridge will be built over Arroyo el Jardín and 700 metres of path will be laid out along Carvajal beach in Benalmádena. When finished, the route will form part of the province's long distance coastal path. source surinenglish
